Hurray! Two of my very favorite crochet clan people - Fay from the Crochet Circle Podcast and Claudia from the Crochet Luna Podcast ran a fabulous Crochet Sock Along in Socktober this year. It kicked off on the first day of Yarndale 29th September 2018. Claudia travelled all the way from California to be there! And Mrs Persuasion, Fay, asked me to arrange a blog hop to accompany the crochetalong.
For all the details check out Fay's website. All the chatter happened over in Claudia's Ravelry thread Sock It To Me and we used the hashtags #SockCAL2018 and #Sockalong2018 on Instagram. We also set up a bundle in the Ravelry group with a load of lovely crocheted sock patterns.
The blog hop has masses of useful sock making info for y'all:

I designed a small sock for the "Crochet Sock Techniques” class I taught at Houston Fiber Fest last summer to introduce my students to a number of sock techniques. This would be a great quick sock to make if you're new to crochet socks and is free on Ravelry. Here's the link Leftover Crochet Sock. I’ve also recorded short tutorials on YouTube on the techniques used in this pattern. I hope they are helpful. And the sock making continues in Claudia's Ravelry thread Sock It To Me so you always join us there!
