Jon and Clare of Birdstreet Yarn are the sweetest people hosting regular wonderful "Flock" gatherings of yarn people locally for several years now. And this weekend they are going BIG - with a Bristol Yarn Festival. Whoop! Whoop! And I've organised free Craftivism workshops for both Saturday and Sunday hosted by me and four other wonderful Bristol Craftivists equally as passionate about making a difference. I am beyond excited about inspiring thirty-two people to use their craft to take action about the issues they care about.
Stitch to Change: a Craftivism Workshop – Bristol Craftivists
Join Bristol Craftivists for a hands-on workshop where creativity meets activism. Through knitting and crochet, we’ll explore how crafts can make a powerful statement in tackling the issues you care about.
• Who’s it for? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned crafters.
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Why join? Be part of a growing movement using craft to inspire action, raise awareness, and build a community of changemakers.
Let’s use our needles and hooks to start conversations, spread hope, and fight for a sustainable future. Free of charge & all materials provided.
And I'm making the workshop handout available here:
